You have my sympathy. Perhaps you can find paralegal work or work as legal secretary. Unfortunately, you would probably be more employable in India, since so much has been outsourced. Maybe my story will make you feel better. I worked as a paralegal for over ten and finished law school in 2002 in this country. I have been employed only on a temporary basis since 2002 and I have been out of work entirely since May 2008. I cannot find an attorney, paralegal or legal secretary job in this current economy and I am very experienced. I am the main earner in my household and have 3 kids to support - so you are better off than me. The legal field IS NOT what it it promised to be. Try to get into contract management with a government job. This website will not be helpful. Anyway, good luck!
